Confidence is now set that portions of the upper-Mid-West will have a major winter storm impacting the area Thursday into Friday. Weather data is pretty consistent that there will be as much as 6 to 10 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts possible for the area. As that strong Alberta Clipper Storm System moves into the area there will be ample moisture to squeeze out very heavy snow. This very heavy snow will overtake the area and produce limited visibilities. Limited visibilities will be due to the fact that there will be 20-40 mph winds, with blowing and drifting snowfall for the area. Make sure you have food, water and necessary essentials in your car if you must travel and also in your home in case there are power outages. I will keep you updated on the latest weather information.
